DYL prides itself on having high quality coaching.  In grades K through 6th, we look to volunteer parents, typically dads, to fulfill the role of coach and assistant coach for all teams.  In grades 7 and 8, we employ paid coaches who serve as excellent role models and lacrosse teachers for our older players.  

Our coaches are among the very best in any youth sports program.  We specifically seek out coaches who understand the values and goals of the program.  Most have had a very successful youth and collegiate playing career.  We aim to have a 10:1 player to coach ratio in most cases and we often supplement our coaching with position-experts who can specifically teach the roles of Goalie, Faceoff, Defense and Shooting.  

At times, we also welcome past Duxbury players and/or coaches to address our young players with messages of leadership, teamwork, commitment and fun.
